Effective December 1, 2005 Bostitch, L.P. warrants to the original retail purchaser that the product purchased is free from defects in material and workmanship, and agrees to repair or replace, at Bostitch's option, any defective Bostitch branded pneumatic stapler or nailer for a period of seven (7) years from date of purchase, (two  years from the date of purchase for Bostitch branded cordless gas nailers and staplers, one  year from the date of purchase for compressors and tools used in production applications).
Warranty is not transferable. Proof of purchase date required. This warranty covers only damage resulting from defects in material or workmanship; it does not cover conditions or malfunctions resulting from normal wear, neglect, abuse, accident or repairs attempted or made by other than our national repair center or authorized warranty service centers. Driver blades, bumpers, o-rings, pistons and piston rings are considered normally wearing parts. For optimal performance of your Bostitch tool, always use genuine Bostitch fasteners and replacement parts.
This warranty IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES AND with respect to compressors and tools used in production applications, limits to a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase all implied warranties INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. BOSTITCH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

Bostitch Hand Tools are covered by the manufacturer's LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY. Bostitch warrants this product to the original purchaser for its useful life (not to exceed one year for products with electrical or electronic components) against deficiencies in material and workmanship.
This LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY does not cover products that are improperly used, abused, altered or repaired, nor does it cover consumable goods such as knife blades.

TAPE RULE REPLACEMENT POLICY
These rules are intended to further clarify the Bostitch Limited Lifetime Warranty as it applies to tape rules.
• Bostitch is not responsible for damage resulting from excessive wear, misuse, abuse, damage from accident or alteration of this product.
• Where permitted by law, Bostitch is not responsible for accidental or consequential damages.
The information below will help you to determine if a tape rule is defective and should be replaced.
Bostitch tape rules are inspected and tested before shipment and are believed to be free from defects in workmanship and material.
We are dedicated to make fair and equitable adjustments on any defective tape rule; however, we cannot be responsible for tape rules that have had long use or that show excessive wear or damage from accident, misuse or abuse.
Please use the following as a guide when handling claims for adjustment.
VALID CONDITIONS FOR TAPE REPLACEMENT
• A tape rule showing defects in material or workmanship should be replaced free of charge.
• Ruler shows little or no wear, no signs of abuse - but fails to retract the blade fully into the case or allows the blade to bounce out of the case.
• Ruler shows little or no wear, no signs of abuse - but blade will not retract into the case or wants to feed itself out of the case mouth.
• Ruler shows little or no wear, no signs of abuse - but one of its components is broken or will not function correctly.
CONDITIONS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY
Tape rules indicating hard wear or showing damage from an accident or misuse will not be replaced free of charge. Here are examples of valid reasons to refuse free replacement.

• Blade torn by retracting at high speed, broken by being stepped on or accidentally cut by a power tool.
• Hook bent when tape rule was dropped from height or accidentally hit by another tool.
• Rust and corrosion on blade or hook indicates that the tape rule has been exposed to moisture for long periods.
• Foreign material coating the blade or contaminating the case interior will interfere with tape rule operation.
• Bare metal showing on the blade; excessive wear on case exterior indicates that the tape rule is worn out.
• Broken parts, cracked cases, twisted or badly kinked blades indicate that the tape rule has been abused.
BOSTITCH AIR TOOLS
Bostitch Air Tools are covered by a Manufacturers 3 year Limited Warranty. If any Bostitch Air Tools fails within that period, Bostitch will replace it. Tools which have been improperly used, abused or altered are not covered under this warranty. Proof of purchase is required. Warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Do not return this product to a store. Call 800-556-6696 8am - 6pm ET Monday through Friday, and upon receipt of the original tool from you, Bostitch will ship a replacement. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Incidental and consequential damages are not recoverable under this warranty. Some states do not allow the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
BOSTITCH MECHANICS TOOLS
Bostitch Mechanics Tools are covered by a Manufacturers Full Lifetime Warranty. If any Bostitch Mechanics Tool ever fails for any reason, Bostitch will replace it. No Proof of purchase required. BOSTITCH POWER TOOLS
THREE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Bostitch will repair or replace, without charge, any defects due to faulty materials or workmanship for three years from the date of purchase for tools (two years for batteries). This warranty does not cover part failure due to normal wear or tool abuse.
