  • DA vs FN finish nails & tools

The main difference between the DA & FN  styles is the nail itself & the angle of the magazine.

The DA style nails have a "D-shaped" head, that is actually what the D stands for in the model # and the A means angle. This tool (DA1564K) is new as of 2012 and was long awaited, as we have been making the nails to go with it for many years.

Nails for both the DA1564K or N62FNK-2 (our current FN angled finish nailer) are a 15 gauge, but the magazine is different. Angled at 25 degrees on the N62FN and 34 degrees on the DA1564.

There is also the FN1664K which is a 16 GA straight finish nailer. These nails are different as well.
